Getting things started!

The SAT and ACT fee waivers are finally here!! If you are a junior/rising senior, you are eligible for up to two SAT fee waivers (and two SAT subject test fee waivers) as well as one ACT fee waiver. If you are unsure as to how many you are eligible for, either leave comments on this blog or call our office. We will check and let you know.
The first available test date for the SAT is October 14th and the registration deadline is September 12th. The first available test date for the ACT is October 28th and the registration deadline is September 22nd.
Also, the college application fee waivers are available. As a rising senior, you are eligible for up to four of these waivers. You must have used an SAT fee waiver first though. Community college applications do not require fees so everyone can apply to at least one CC without exhausting any fee waivers. Please let us know which schools you are applying to when you request the wavier as some colleges and universities do not accept the waivers.
Juniors don't forget to sign up for the PSAT which should be given at your school in October. This test will help you discover the areas you need to work on in order to prepare for the SAT which you will take this coming spring.
